The selection of iPad cases can be overwhelming, and even more overwhelming can be the prices you would pay in your local store. The prices for a decent iPad case can go anywhere from $50 right up to $100 dollars at many of the BestBuy type electronics retailers. Now I want to be clear, getting an iPad case for your ipad is a MUST!  Seriously!  But paying through the nose just seems like a cash grab.

We’re lucky though as there are some really good online stores that do have a great selection of iPad cases - and at much more reasonable prices than local computer stores.

In all honesty, the suggestion I give all of my friends when they ask me about which case they should buy is to go and look for an iPad case online and save some money. Sadly we are not able to negotiate the price of our iPad to get it down to less than the $499.00 we all have to pay for the 16GB model - but what we can do is make up some of the money on the case we buy and to shop around for all of our other iPad accessories online instead of going in and buying them retail. We all have to pay - at the very least, $500.00 for the 16GB model of the iPad.  That’s the cheapest it gets. So we have to save where we can when it comes to the add on products for the iPad - and the iPad case is a must have add on and one that we can definitely save some money by looking around. I’m not kidding when I say you can buy a leather case online for about $25, while the same case at your local bestbuy would run you about $75.

I’m a fan of leather cases for the iPad myself. I really consider my laptop to be extremely classy and functional - and a leather case, a good leather case, just adds that extra wow factor to the iPad for me. So I would hesitate to put something this beautiful in a bright yellow silicone case. I am aware that a lot of people swear by the plastic silicone cases for some added grip for their iPad. I simply don’t like them.  You may, and of course that’s fine, who am I to say after all.

What I really like is a nice executive style iPad leather case, it just adds that touch of class to the iPad. I also like them because most of them are flip-open cases, which means that it feels much nicer in my hands when I’m holding the iPad due to a bit of extra weight, and I can close to front of the case and completely protect my iPad screen when I am not using it. And at under $30.00 it’s both easy on the eyes, and my wallet.
